Anybody pairs their MPC with a DAW?

I’ve recently seen a couple of people make posts showing them making music and they have their MPC sample next to their laptop running a DAW. I’m coming from a DAW only workflow to doing most of the work in my MPC One + or Sample. But then I bounce over to a DAW for recording instruments, specific VSTs and final mixing.

I was wondering if anyone had a workflow where they’re using the MPC with a DAW together, like a hybrid workflow?

One example I’ve tried is using the Sample’s pads to control FPC in FLStudio. I played around with that but ultimately FPC just pales in comparison to an MPC.

I’ve also played around with having the audio from a VST coming out of my audio interface and into my MPC. I think it’s a good setup though I think I need more practice with that.

Something I’m curious about is like literally constructing a track on both. Like if I can sync the MIDI of one or the other, but have all the audio come from the MPC to the DAW, so when I start playback on the DAW I hear both my VSTs and my MPC’s drum sequence playing together, for example.

Any other suggestions about this?
