Have you ever had a crush on a coworker and just ended up avoiding them?

There is this girl I work with and I sit literally next door to her. I have a huge crush on her, she is gorgeous, funny (because I hear her talk to her coworker), she makes me flustered and so nervous that even though she sits right next door to me I just haven’t introduced myself even though I have had tons of opportunities to do so. A lot of time I basically just walk by and stare/check her out. And there was a while that she was also doing the same to me when I was doing it. It’s just gotten to the point where I just figured I am not going to introduce myself because of how flustered and nervous she makes me, plus I have had a really bad experience in the past that is also still in my mind that is in the back of my mind whenever I see her.

I find myself now walking the opposite direction of her office door now just to basically create some emotional distance. Have you all ever liked someone so much that you have just had to avoid them?
