Want to understand all the hype about the Longines Hydroconquest

Not trying to troll or be snarky. Genuinely curious and want to understand.

To me, I see a nice-looking but kind of generic dive watch. Doesn't appear to have any unique or standout design elements. Looks like a lot of other watches that are of broadly similar quality.

I could understand it being somewhat popular, but I don't understand why the internet has gone crazy about it. What am I missing? I want to understand what others see in it--maybe this is a good opportunity to help develop my tastes?
