I built my first iPad app for Apple Pencil - seeking feedback please
Hi everyone,
I've just released my very first app and I'm looking for feedback please.
It's called PenTask and it's designed around handwritten task management with Apple Pencil rather than traditional typed to-do lists.
I'm the type that normally tries every different productivity method under the sun, and then find myself resorting back to pen and paper.
PenTask gives you the ability to go back to the simplicity of a good old "to-do" list, but then gives you some extras like tapping into a task, and then adding additional handwritten notes, due-dates, or assigning a category or priority.
The default mode basically converts the name of the task from handwriting to text (so it keeps everything looking neat) and then you can knock yourself out with handwritten notes.
There is the prettier "Dashboard" view, or you can go back to a simple list, where your tasks appear just as they would on paper (but once you tap on them, you can add more context).
You can also capture tasks one by one, or go into "List Mode" where you can brain dump your tasks on each line, and the app will convert them into individual tasks.
A few things it focuses on:
• Handwritten task capture
• Apple Pencil-first workflow
• Minimal interface with no accounts required
• No ads, tracking, or data collection

The app is currently free while I'm gathering feedback and improving it.
I'm especially interested in hearing:
- What feels intuitive?
- What feels frustrating?
- What features are missing?
- Would you actually use something like this regularly?
Any feedback is appreciated. This is the first app I've ever created, so I'm learning a lot as I go.
Thanks!
