Embroidery water Lillie’s

I’m learning embroidery and recently started working on this design. I’d love to hear any advice, tips, or thoughts on the piece so far.

This was stitched onto a pair of old ripped denim shorts as a practice project. A lot of people recommend starting with embroidery kits, and I did complete one of Emerald Lake for my mum. That project made me fall in love with embroidery and the idea of creating with thread, so I’ve been excited to start designing my own pieces.
