2012 Prius c Pricing Question

Hi there, I have the opportunity to purchase a 2012 Prius c (Base Trim) for 8k. It has 55k miles and well maintained. I don't need the car at the moment but likely will in the next few years. I don't believe this would be overpaying but I want to know if this is seen as a very good deal, one that would be worth purchasing and insuring a car for a couple of years when it is not a necessity.
