Basic needs

For context I have a chronic disease and need to apply for Federal Disability Retirement, SSSI and any programs that can help along the way as I know it’s a long waiting process.

I need a laptop because it’s just to hard to do these things on the phone. Once done with these tasks which I expect to take few months of back and forth to figure I can’t see using it for anything but maybe a budget spreadsheet or to give to my 7yr old to play Roblox.

Obviously budget is important but I don’t understand with these refurbished ie like on Amazon- is one not just playing Russion Roulette.

Any ideas?

P.s. I kind of was supposed to start it yesterday so something that’s fairly easy to get my hands on and I’m in the USA
