Non-Combo Ratadrabik Aristocrats?

I started building Ratadrabik and quickly realized that he combos pretty easy and that is by far the most efficient build. I play casual bracket three almost exclusively and combo always seems a little cheap. I don't have an aristocrats deck that I love at the moment and I'm trying to decide if this is the deck for me.

Pro

- synergy has potential and seems fun to play

- not a commander I see every day

- in a color combo I don't have

Cons

- very dependant on the commander

- feels much better using tutors which I don't love

Aside from adding [[boromir]] and associated ring tempting lines, what else can I do to make this deck click?
