Screen Broke, how I go about replacing it? (Soysauce clone, panel 5)
before anyone says it; I will buy an original boyhom R36S regardless, just looking to keep this one as well.
I know enough about how to disasemble and replace the screen, this is easy. But does any screen model work? Can I just buy any panel and replace the dtb for it to work properly or is there more compatibility issues with the motherboard?
For reference, my soysauce clone is a y3506_v05_20251215 2601 model.
aliexpress has this screen for dirt cheap, the model is HL-PGDM035HD-C-V2. My only worry is buying it, installing it and it simply refusing to work.
if anyone wants to know how it happaned; it simply fell from my bedside table, facefront, making the most horrendous sound you can hear for a device being dropped, it also had no protection whatsoever.
