Sniffer Sounds but no sniffer?

I am playing bedrock with no add ons. I have closed captions on, so it tells me the sounds happening around me. I was digging in a trail ruin, and it kept saying sniffer sounds or sniffer plops, even when I was standing still doing nothing. As far as I know, sniffers can’t spawn in Minecraft unless you find sniffer eggs. Does anyone know what’s going on?
