Question for Colorado people!

If you feel safe or if you have trans kids in schools there, what general area do you live in and what areas would you recommend in the Denver/Aurora/Arvada/Lakeview/Etc. general cluster of cities? My family and I are moving there in about a year or so and have been all over the state many times, I'm just not sure about specific neighborhoods and how they are to actually live in these days.
