Does this door in the spiral dungeons do anything?

I have been in the Ancient Dungeon with spiral map marker behind Anubis several times and I get the boss key from the mini-boss room and then kill the boss and enter the grave room. However, this other door has a special appearance but I have never been able to open or interact with it. Is it something I am missing out on or just a false hope thing?
