The Ending

Am I the only person who absolutely hated the ending. It ruined the whole game for me. We spend the game going after a mysterious object that we know nothing about; only to have our agency taken away and be forced to give it to a sinister faction that refuses to explain itself. All while being patronized by them and an alien who claims he's working towards what's best, but refuses to elaborate. We get no closure, no revelation, nothing.
