For context, this man was posting harmless videos sharing stories about serving with V. RATMIES immediately swarmed his page, bullying him, telling him to shut up and "let V speak for himself." The man literally stopped posting because the harassment got bad.

Instead of telling his fans to back off, V dropped the comment saying: "Hey, why did you stop? Spread it even more widely, it's fun. I don't even remember."

ARMY immediately started screaming about how "manly" and "strong" he is for this comment. But think about it,this is incredibly reckless. He knew the guy was getting eaten alive by his crazy fandom, and his response was to tell him to keep posting more content for his own entertainment? It didn’t shield the man at all, V is just using the man as a content farm to keep his own name trending.

Then, surprise surprise, the "manly bro" comment started getting criticism from normal internet onlookers who pointed out how messed up it is to treat public harassment as a joke.

Immediately after that backfire, V drops this sudden, massive, overly emotional essay on Instagram. And if you read between the lines, it’s pure corporate damage control:

 1. He literally blames the victim. He wrote that because Kitae uploaded so many short videos, "it's totally understandable that they could misunderstand." He is literally validating the ARMY's behavior by blaming the guy's video formatting.

 2. He sanitizes the bullying. He calls targeted cyberbullying people looking at it "with worry." Calling ARMY as a "concerned supporters" is such a cop out so he doesn't alienate his fanbase.

3.He makes it all about himself. He shifts the focus to an "us vs. them" narrative, saying people who weren't in the military with them just don't understand their bond. It deflects from the actual issue.

The biggest giveaway that this is pure image curation? Not once in that entire long essay did he actually tell his fans to stop harassing the man. He never set a firm boundary. He just wrapped the whole thing in a casual "friendly fire" joke, patted the guy on the head, and let his fans think they did nothing wrong. It's wild how people are eating this up as a heartwarming moment when he basically threw a non-celebrity under the bus for PR.

(MANTAECHILD'S COMMENT)

"You’ve been well, right?

While there are many people who look kindly upon the videos you put so much effort into filming and feel grateful for them, on the other hand, it seems there are also some who look at it with a bit of worry. First of all, for me, it was so much fun.

Living life, there are definitely times when even if something was done with good intentions, it can be received differently because everyone has a different perspective. I hope you don’t let every single viewpoint weigh too heavily on your mind.

(But I think because you uploaded so many short ones, it might have looked a bit strange to people, so it's totally understandable that they could misunderstand.)

No matter what anyone says, you were the absolute ace in our squad, and I truly enjoyed the time I spent in military life with you.

Honestly, I think it might be hard for people who haven't actually lived through it with us to fully understand what we felt. Do you agree?

I was worried that maybe you were doing bench presses while stressing out over these reactions for no reason, so even though I'm incredibly lazy, I'm leaving this comment.

(Freeze. Friendly fire, friendly fire) I hope this helps.

Anyway, have a great day, and I really hope you don't worry too much.

I'm always cheering you on, and though I don't remember what your dream was, since your body is so great, is it bodybuilding? Fighting\~ 👋"

V’s pathetic attempt to turn his fandom's cyberbullying into a "heartwarming" bro moment.. Too cowardly to check his own fandom
