Anyone else's interviews just becoming applicaton 2.0?
I had an interview for a common nursing unit at a hospital in my city. I've been struggling to find work as a new grad and am taking what I can get. I get to the interview (virtual) and am literally asked to give my work history with dates. No explanation of what I did, just the same shit my resume showed. The interviewers barely seemed to speak English. I was told I'd know in 1-2 months.
I've gone to interviews where I literally am asked basic questions that would be answered by even glancing at my resume. I'm asked if I've worked as a nurse despite the fact that my most current job I've been at for 5 years and finished nursing school at the end of 2024.
Interviews seem to have become less and less about figuring out if you are a good fit and I am really struggling with going to them when they're in person and take 1-2 hours of my time just to hear nothing back.
