Sleep training is really hard!

No Advice Please

I went to a centre locally that supports parents to sleep train their bubs. My 8m used to wake hourly, need rocking to sleep and co-slept from midnight onwards.

Its been a couple of weeks since getting the support and he has made some improvements but still wakes 2nd hourly overnight, needing a feed to get to sleep ( i try everything else first), even though he can fall asleep at the beginning of the night independently/minimal support. Naps have also become a battle. He started teething soon after coming home from the centre which has thrown everything off.

I feel like he previously slept poorly but it didnt feel like it was an emotional up hill battle all the time like it is now. I dont feel the gains are anywhere near what I want it to be and I hate when he cries. I persevere with the training/crying to try and improve his sleep but it feels like this is all too hard for what the outcome is, especially knowing that teething and illness will set him back.

I dont want any advice on how I can improve his sleep- just need to feel like im not alone.
