Amazon Chat offering to find 'similar products' for OOS item

Has anyone else been offered this by an Amazon chat rep?

This seems utterly nuts to me.

The item I was buying that is out of stock is differential fluid with an uncommon weight and rating that only it meets. You can buy the stuff in a few different branded bottles or you can buy it aftermarket from Castrol. That's it.

Are they really out here trying to do automotive fluid crossreferencing? Is there some recommendation engine ("AI") that is telling them what to offer?

It's not a grocery order and this isn't a commodity purchase that can be swapped out.

They're gonna blow up someone's car by telling them that something is a suitable replacement when it's not.
