not having my own office space

Vents

hi just wanted to rant real quick -

i graduated two weeks ago and got hired by a group private practice like immediately after and im going to be starting there soon. they sent me a message today asking if i would be okay with this new thing they’re trying out where basically, because they’ve hired a few people and will also have 3 interns coming on, i bounce around 2-3 offices of other clinicians instead of having my own. they said this is temporary, but they’re trying to figure out spacing?

idk i honestly hate that idea and i struggle with being straightforward (hate that about myself ugh) so i kinda just told them that it’d of course depend on my schedule and when my clients would be coming in to see me and what would make sense for them, but if it’s temporary and that’s how it has to be that i could make it work. in reality im super bummed about it and was really looking forward to having my own office and setting it up. especially because i used to do in-home work and i’ve never had an office.

is this a normal thing that happens at some practices? how should i address this with them if i get another chance?
