Giro sucked right?

Nobody seems to be saying it, but we had one guy up front with no real competition, and while the top 10 was filled with incredible riders, none of them are likely to get in the top 5 (or 10) of the tour. Sure, there were some good stages (Eulalio taking the lead, Kuss taking the queen stage), but for a three week grand tour it kinda sucked. Am I missing something ?
