curly hair needing product recommendations

Just recently my fiancé and I have moved in with our grandparents, grandma is allergic to fragrance. They both have straight short hair so their hair products aren’t as friendly on curly hair, just looking for some good recommendations.

Also, has anyone found a good shampoo that feels like it actually cleans their hair? We’re new to this whole fragrance free lifestyle (loving it overall) but the two shampoos we’ve tried aren’t good for our curly hair & our roots don’t truly feel clean. We’ve tried Cerave & Vanicream brands so far.
