Early Stages dating silence
I am in a position where I 'm hoping to get some anecdotal advice or hear others' stories and experiences with something similar. As I am feeling anxious (attachment style) and inexperienced when it comes to the early stages dating phase with someone with audhd. She is a good person overall and I am wanting to learn how to support her by learning more and not taking any behaviour/actions at face value.
From what I have read and learned so far on this journey to better understand audhd is that there is this intense hyperfocus period of 3-4 weeks. Daily snap videos of her cooking, us gaming together, life updates, fit checks, daughters birthday snaps, well you get the picture. It was a window into her life. We have also seen eachother twice in person.
And then there is a cooldown period. Which I think we are in based on the silence.
To backdrop this, I matched with this person online, and we had some good chats back and forth. It then transitioned to snapchat, and we had a few videocalls and more or less communicated daily. She did bring up early that she had audhd, which I said I am not that experienced in but said I will ask questions when they do arise and do my own research.
Right now, from what I have gathered is that she has (recently) started job hunting and getting interviews, parent help responsibilities at school, and just the general full-time parent life admin. So you can imagine and relate that there is a lot going on. Once the job hunting started is when the communication just quietened down. To a point where I haven't heard anything in 2 weeks, and my pebbles haven't been opened in the last week and a half.
I am going to send a 'thinking of you no pressure to reply send an emoji' message this weekend, but I am hoping for some advice from both sides of what worked and didn't work in this period that I should me mindful of. I know everyone is different, so I am keeping that in mind.
Sorry for the long message. Thank you for taking the time to read it.
