I am on my 4th Basilisk V3 X Hyperspeed now in 10 months
First had a grinding / squeaking scroll wheel out of the box.
Second started to make double clicks on LMB after 2 months.
Third lasted 8 months, then started randomly losing the wireless connection.
The fourth now came yesterday and at first I thought everything is fine but after a few minutes of usage I noticed the scroll wheel sounded different than on the one before. Turns out the wheel is slightly lose and can be moved to the left and right in the socket, which produces a clicking noise that gets louder if you start scrolling.
Man, if it wasn´t for the great shape and Amazon being generous with returns as usual, who in their right mind would keep this trash and go through the cumbersome support process (tried once ..) every time? And I am no hardcore user, just a few hours in the evening so it can´t be worn out in such a short amount of time.
Of course, you could say it´s a low budget mice but reading through this subreddit, the higher tier Basilisks don´t seem much better in the reliability aspect.
Bad quality control on a few charges can happen but this just seems to be the norm?
