New Legion Pro Not Detecting External Display

Hello Legion Community,

I got a new Legion Pro 7 (16IAX10H - Type 83F5) yesterday, but I’m noticing it has issues detecting my external display — an Odyssey G80SD. I‘m using the HDMI that came packaged with it, and everything is up-to-date.

Part of the reason why this is so confusing is because I have a regular Legion 7 that has no problem detecting this same monitor, so logic would suggest the new laptop is at fault…but it’s new. I don’t know if the fact that my MS account says it has Windows Core (I was busy, so I had a licensed service provider set everything up), but my system settings says it‘s using Windows 11 Home is an issue.

In any case, I already ordered a new HDMI cable (maybe I should try the display port too?) to see if there’s some compatibility issue, and extending the display as a temporary measure.

Between this and Windows Spotlight not working, I’m a little bummed with this purchase. Any ideas?
