Has anyone used SR to find a partner?

I am 38 years old and have never been in an adult relationship. I'm so sick of being alone. I'm tired of hearing the phrase "you need to be happy alone first." That's such a load of horse shit. It's easy to be happy alone when you're never single long or get laid on a consistent basis. My best friend tells me it's hard for people to like me when I have a storm cloud over my head. Well it's easy for him to say that when he's never had to be single long enough that he forgets what sex even feels like. I'm so depressed and bitter and lonely. I'm so tired of being alone and having no one to share my life with.
