this season has been an eye-opening revelation on the lack of media literacy and attention span of the general audience.

Discussion

i'm not trying to be mean, but it's come to a point where i am genuinely shocked at the lack of media literacy and the attention space of euphoria's general audience. i'm not going to be one of those boomers who blame it on a certain generation or say that it's happening with euphoria only (i've seen it with other shows as well)... but the amount of easily answered questions is actually kind of sad. questions like:

  • how did laurie die?
  • what were the IDs in the safe for?
  • did fez really escape?

those are just some of the common questions i've seen asked over the past few days, and it's just... come on people.

if you're asking these questions, i encourage you to give the season a rewatch. put the phone down. don't open any other tabs. maybe grab a snack to keep your hands busy and just watch.

there's a lot of very valid complaints and critiques that SL deserves for this season, but complaints for 'plot holes' that were simply missed by the viewer's lack of media literacy or attention span just isn't fair.
