Gladiolus help!

hello all! I’m new here and looking for some advice. I lve never planted gladiolus before but was gifted some corms in the very early spring. planted them in small pots to get them started in the spring and have now transplanted them into the garden. I wasn’t aware they shouldn’t be transplanted because the roots could go into shock. they seem to be doing okay now. my real issue is a planted them around some hydrangea bushes and the root system prevented me from digging deep enough. I was in a hurry to get them into the ground so instead of the 5 inches deep, these are closer to 2 inches deep in soil which is not enough to support the leaves nor will it support once the flowers begin to bloom. I wanted to carefully dig them up and plant them deeper but everything I’ve read says to avoid that with this stage- they are over 8 inches in length and are showing 3- 5 leaves per corm. to strengthen the plant, I was planning to add more soil to the base around each of them and add some bamboo or stick to stabilize them with twine. would that work or is it worth the risk to dig and replanting them? thanks in advance!
