Magneticraft Wood Gas

I'm messing around with magneticraft (1.12.2) and like the coal coke production it has but was wondering what wood gas can be used for. I know the manual says it can be burned to get energy but don't really know that process lol. I wish the mod was slightly further in development so that wood gas could be processed into creosote oil as well
