F25 ,2014 X3 35 i parking brake

I have parking brake error pop up intermittently. After looking around the Internet these are the following things that I have tried without success.

1. Change the fuses in the fuse box , had issue with this as the fuse relay paper they have in the fuse don't have the fuse identification for the parking brake - I changed few based on other comments and info on Internet

2. Reset the parking brake following a procedure to hold the parking brake for 10 s just by ignition on but not on engine on

The parking brake engages when I use the parking brake . And then it throws an error ' parking brake malfunction '

I am assuming it has to do with the switch itself but I would like know before I purchase it .
