Avoid Iron Works Fitness if you are a student or parent in town

Hey everyone, just wanted to put out a warning for any local high schoolers, college students, or parents in the area who are looking at gym memberships right now.

I recently signed up for a membership at Iron Works Fitness because their website explicitly says that the age requirement for an individual plan is 16 or older. You can see this right on their site https://www.ironworksfitness.net/membership. They even have a specific student tier for ages 16 to 25, lol.

Well, turns out that is completely wrong. After signing up online and going to sort everything out, I was told that I actually can't have a membership there AFTER paying their enrollment and membership fee. It completely contradicts what they publicize online.

It is super frustrating to deal with a local spot that takes your money online but won't honor the exact rules and student tiers they actively advertise. Save yourself the headache and the drive, and look at other gyms in Boulder that actually mean what they put on their website.
