How to maintain no contact when we share a mutual friend group?
Just for some context, I'm not originally from the city I live in now. I joined this friend group after a guy I know introduced me to them. It's mostly a group for going out to parties.
Our relationship actually started out of nowhere, there wasn't an immediate spark at first, but we just fell for each other. We both knew from the start that getting involved could be risky given the group dynamic. Still, everyone there was super excited when we started dating because of the classic "you are so kind and so good for her" thing. When she broke up with me, some of them even called her out on it.
I've already soft-blocked her on social media, asked my friends not to tell me anything about her, left the group chat, and muted their stories.
But what do I do now? I already told them I’m taking a break from parties, but doing this long-term would cost me too much because these types of parties are literally my favorite thing—they are a huge part of my personality.
