Hi! I'm making some improvements to the setup I shared: https://www.reddit.com/r/hometheater/comments/1tugbns/not_the_most_aesthetic_speaker_holders_but_it/

In order to place my front/left right on the wall with speaker arms (like [these](https://www.mercadolibre.com.ar/soporte-de-pared-movil-para-parlantes-altavoces-onebox-acero-color-negro/p/MLA41506656?pdp_filters=item_id:MLA2392834862)), I need to push front/tv a bit back on the tv console surface. But if I push it back this creates reflections on the table surface, which can cause dips in certain frequencies, as far as I understand.

How bad is this really, and does it get mitigated by the fact that the front of speaker is raised to point to listening position, and the tv stand adds an extra 2cm to the distance between front and surface?

Distance from front of speaker to wood is 5cm, and angle is around 10 deg (about 3cm raised on the front, and 18cm total depth).

Pictures 2 and 3 are my options, recessed, and have an easy time placing left/right. Or to the front, and find longer arms, extend them a bit, more effort to get right. Whatever I do I will place the front left/right on arms to free up floor space, but center speaker depth defines how I could go about it.

At what point do center speaker being recessed on an open surface become a problem? How does angle affect this?
