Was my ban in 2014 deserved?

(I see "deserved bans are not allowed" in the rules, I'm hoping asking if it's deserved is allowed)

Around 2014, I had an account and one day I foolishly messaged 3 or 4 random users asking for their password in PMs (I was young). Then within a couple of days my account got permanently banned/terminated.

Obviously I was in the wrong, but only now I'm looking back and wondering, why didn't they just give me a warning?! I had no prior bans or warnings on the account. Surely you don't just terminate a kid's entire account, you give them a warning (or temp ban) so they don't do it again, right?

Just the idea that you can say smth like "please give me your password" and your entire account gets terminated, I just don't think that's how Roblox's ban system typically worked in 2014 so I'm kinda confused.
