If a game like Minecraft is a sandbox game, in theory, the rules of the Gameoverse do not apply.
Normally, to every game in the Gameoverse, the main rules apply that 1. if the player beats the final boss, the world collapses. 2. No outside characters can inform the characters about the Gameoverse or the world comes to an end as well. However, my main concern is what happens if you take a sandbox game and apply the rules to the Gameoverse.
For example, the game Minecraft has the player beating the Ender Dragon and then usually the credits roll. Although, the game can let you bring an end crystal, as well as use the dragon’s breath to make lingering potions, wouldn’t you consider the game to be at least immune to the concept of the world ending with there being much left to do?
