End of Pain Management
I worked all day yesterday with the medical assistant at my Pain Management doctor’s office to try to find a pharmacy who would work with me and the Pain Management physician, to no avail. I called seven different pharmacies and each of them said no for one reason or another. Everything from they’re limited to how many Pain Management patients they can have on their roster to the home office doesn’t work with that particular doctor to I don’t have enough prescriptions that it is in their interest to fill. So I requested to be released from my Pain Management contract and I will be seeing medical oncology on Friday for my first appointment with them. They should take over the medication aspect of my treatment from here on out so now I can have everybody on the same page at UF. Thank you to everybody in this sub who supported me these last few months as I tried to figure out what the heck was wrong with me and deal with the system that is Pain Management. I have so much respect, empathy, and admiration for you all who are dealing with chronic pain and have to deal with this incredibly difficult system. I’m gonna hang around for a while and keep in touch, I wish each of you all the best!
