The thought kinda popped into my head for a minute cuz i've been thinking bout fan theories. Yes obviously the Mike trio was most likely added as a special potentially last minute additon to the game to honor/give a light jab to the crazy fan theories on who MIKE is from the chapter 2 fandom era.

I always found it interesting that out of most of the fan theories, Toby decided to focus on 3 specific ones
Microphone Mike, Cat Mike, and Cowboy Mike

Obviously just because they were the most popular theories right? Yes! BUT ALSO, interesting he specifically chose 3 and only these 3 specifcially. And each of the mikes have interesting design choices that specifically stick out in their designs, mainly Batta's smile being similar to Tenna like the old theories, but also Pluey's Pink and Yellow Eyes and Jonglers cowboy hat.

I wonder if these specific takes on mike WILL be potentially confirmed in future chapters as important characters, but not exactly in the way we think as MIKE, but rather as something else important, being foreshadowed through mikes. The Mikes could be JUST an easter egg for fans, but maybe to those fans, they can foreshadow something interesting since they also seem tied to cat petterz specifically.

We firstly see a strange extremely photorealistic microphone after beating the mikes, in an area far away, where its very dark, zero explination, maybe its just a gag that this is a literal "REAL MIKE" but its interesting its shown to us still.

Pluey seems to potentially foreshadow FRIEND to us a lot as well with the cat shape and pink/yellow eyes, but also a strange trait of their Tail seemignly also having a mouth, maybe it potentially could foreshadow the "tail of hell" being something tied TO friend, but still an entity seperate from it

And I don't gotta explain cowboy mike to you and who they may be foreshadowing its extremely obvious especially with all the cowboy show references with asgore and his story obviously coming up in chapter 5, maybe we WILL see something very important related to cowboys

Idk just a kinda silly thought I wanted to get out there about this, and hell maybe this exact discussion has ALREADY been done before, but its just interesting to talk while we all go mad

Do we think that despite all the mikes clearly being based on Fan Theories, there is a chance these 3 Mikes will somehow be proven as real indirectly? Not as MIKE, but as 3 important beings?
