Checksum mismatch on uploaded photos (GPS metadata stripped) - Is this expected behavior?

Hi FolderFort team,

Sorry to bother you over the past few days! I am a new Lifetime plan user, so please bear with me.

I recently noticed that the photos I uploaded to FolderFort have a different checksum compared to the original files on my phone's storage.

To test this, I tried uploading a PDF file, downloaded it again, and compared the checksums. For the PDF, the checksums matched perfectly.

This made me wonder why only the photos had different checksums. I checked the metadata and found out that the GPS/location data is being stripped when the photos are uploaded to FolderFort.

I am totally fine with this as long as the actual photos are not corrupted, and I completely understand the privacy reasoning behind it.

If so, it might be a good idea to communicate this upfront (perhaps in an FAQ), so users don't get confused or worry about data corruption when comparing checksums later.

Thanks in advance!
