Need urgent help removing Perm Retainer glue!
I physically cannot get a clear photo, but I have a permanent retainer behind my two upper front teeth, and had to remove it in an emergency today. It was a wire with two squares of glue, and due to the haphazard “ripping off” of the retainer, there is now an extremely sharp and hard to remove square of glue behind one of my teeth.
Why I had to rip the retainer off isn’t super important, but what is it that I now have a chunk of glue behind one of my teeth that is sharp enough to cut my tongue, and I need to know if there’s a way to safely remove it as tugging doesn’t work.
Is there any medical product or liquid that may loosen the glue, like how I believe hot water softens some dental glue?
