Any advice for dealing with weakness from baclofen?
I have a lot of painful and irksome spasms in my legs, like wake me up from sleep or can’t sit in my chair bad but then once my legs aren’t just a perpetual charlie horse I feel like I’m on a planet with different gravity, like it’s hard to get my arms above my head.
I have had successful Botox injections but my insurance won’t pay anymore.
Tizandine just flat knocks me out so I can only take it right before bed. However, I honestly think it might help more? I don’t even know really. I take about 40 mg of baclofen during the day and it’s really making it hard to do anything but if I don’t my legs aren’t both just like completely straight and solid, like I get spasms up into my shoulder blades from the spasms.
I stretch daily, foam roll my hips and stuff as much as I can and I wish I could say it helps, sometimes I can massage my legs like 10 hours straight and it doesn’t seem to stop it.
I use thc at night but I don’t like to be high during the day if I can help it.
Should I just deal with the spasms and quit the meds? Keep the meds going and it’ll get easier to deal with?
I used to be able to be on smaller doses but lately things just seem to be getting way way worse.
I don’t want a pump because I live in a city where 0 doctors deal with pumps, I’d have to drive an hour and a half to a bigger city and I still can’t drive because my car still isn’t modified so I’m worried it’ll be hard to get there and back and I’ll have this liability implanted in me.
