4.7 and 4.8 rushing into work

One thing that has annoyed me with 4.7 and 4.8 is: I ask that we chat before coding so we can get on the same page, plan carefully, engage plan mode, and Claude competely ignores me and jumps straight into coding forcing me to either interrupt or revert work.

Has anybody found these models more likely to do this than 4.6, or just as? It's not a *huge* problem as I *can* interrupt and revert changes, but it's annoying to be continually ignored at least *half* the time when explicitly asking to chat first.
