VETASSESS Rejection: 224711 (Management Consultant) to 224999 (NEC) Pivot | Offshore 190 (85pts) / 491 (95pts) | Advice Needed
Looking for advice from migration agents/consultants or anyone who has successfully navigated a similar situation. Looking for advice from migration agents/consultants or anyone who has successfully navigated a similar situation. I recently received a "Not Suitable" VETASSESS outcome for Management Consultant (ANZSCO 224711) and am trying to determine the best path forward.
Profile:
- Pakistani, currently based in Singapore
- Age: 31
- MBA (INSEAD)
- BSc Accounting & Finance
- Superior English (PTE 90 overall, 90 in all bands)
- NAATI CCL Urdu passed
- 6+ years professional experience
Work Experience:
- Consumer goods multinational in Pakistan (Assistant Manager Finance) – Jul 2018 to Mar 2020
- Mobility startup in Egypt (Planning Specialist / Performance Manager) – Mar 2020 to Nov 2021
- leading big tech company (Market Program Manager / Senior Market Program Manager) – Feb 2023 to present
VETASSESS accepted both my qualifications but found that my employment was not highly relevant to Management Consultant. They specifically stated that my big tech experience appears to align more closely with Information and Organisation Professionals (ANZSCO 224999).
My concern is that 224999 does not appear to be a strong pathway for 189 and seems unlikely to receive competitive 190 invitations.
Questions:
- Has anyone successfully transitioned from a failed 224711 assessment into another occupation and later obtained PR?
- Based on my background, are there any occupations (e.g. Policy and Planning Manager 132411 or others) that may be a better fit?
- Would you recommend a review/reassessment, or is it better to start fresh under a different occupation?
- If you were advising a client with this profile today, what would be the most realistic Australia PR pathway?
Would appreciate insights from agents who have handled similar cases or applicants who have gone through something similar. Happy to share more details via DM if helpful. Looking for advice from migration agents/consultants or anyone who has successfully navigated a similar situation.
