Recommended bicycle travel cases?

I'm considering splurging on a travel case for my bike (a large Trek Checkpoint) - any recommendations from people that have used them enough to get a good idea on what is nice and durable? I'm leading towards the DAKINE roller bag that collapses down when not in use, or an EVOC bag. I like the *idea* of the Scicon bags letting you keep the handlebars on but am a bit uneasy about that making them more vulnerable to damage.

FWIW I fly Alaska Airlines, which specifies either a hard case or manufacturers original box, though from some Reddit posts on the Alaska Airlines sub, they don't seem to enforce that, and people have had no issues with using soft sided bags.
