Should I do the laparoscopy?

Hi everyone. 23f here, I have a dermoid cyst on my ovary, approximately 1x2cm. I waited TWO YEARS to see the best specialist in my city. The problem is, I have severe stabbing pains in my ovaries when I sneeze, intense pain when ovulating, intense period pains, GI issues which have worsened over the years, and incredibly painful sex.

The specialist told me the surgery only has a 30% chance of actually fixing my issue, and there’s a possibility it could actually end up making me worse off, and that it could affect my chance of having children if I wanted to. My primary doctor is advocating that I do the surgery but the percentage just doesn’t seem very high in terms of success. They both think I have endo as I know a cyst that small wouldn’t cause these issues. I’m looking for advice. What would you do in my position?
