How to enable AR mode on modern Android versions - Tutorial

As you may know, AR mode doesn't work on Android anymore. This is because the game tries to ask for a permission that no longer exists on these newer versions. I have seen a few different solutions around the internet and none of them worked for me. However, I just found a way to do it myself.

You will need one app. That app is "App Manager." I'm unsure if I'm allowed to post links, but just google App Manager, and find the one made by Muntashir Akon on GitHub. Download the APK from the releases page there (choose the .apk instead of the .apks because it is easier to install).

Before the rest, go to settings on your phone -> About Phone -> scroll down to build number and tab it a few times to enable developer options.

After installing App Manager and clicking through whatever stuff it tells you (importantly, make sure to allow notifications), click on the 3 dots in the top right, and then click on Settings. Look for "Mode of Operation" and click that. Change the mode to "Wireless Debugging." Click "Pair" in the pop up and then click "Manual." Open settings and search for Wireless Debugging. Click on Wireless Debugging (don't just turn it on). Click "Pair device with pairing code," and a notification from App Manager will appear. Enter that code in the notification.

Go back to App Manager and search for My Little Pony. Click on it, and App Manager will ask for you to grant usage access. Click "Go" -> App Manager -> and then attempt to enable it. It will say App was denied access.

Now go to settings on your phone -> Apps -> and look for App Manager. Click on the 3 dots at the top (weirdly, this only exists if that "App was denied access" pop up from earlier appears) and then click allow restricted settings. Go back and try to enable that permission from earlier.

Now, back in App Manager (I would close and reopen it), after clicking on My Little Pony, scroll the bar at the top until you see "App ops."

Here there are a few settings to enable. I'm sure not all of them are necessary, but I didn't feel like checking which ones were necessary so this is every one I enabled when I figured this out:

- 92 MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE

- 60 WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE

- 82 WRITE_MEDIA_AUDIO

- 86 WRITE_MEDIA_IMAGES

- 84 WRITE_MEDIA_VIDEO

After enabling all of these you are basically set!! Close and reopen My Little Pony and try to use the AR mode. It should work!!!
