How do you feel about others themselves vkei fans?

Mostly a rant.

This is not targeted to the whole community, only to a small or tiny section of people, one I know off.

But how do you feel about calling themselves vkei fans for a very long time but they don't know many other bands other than 1 or 2 that are commonly the most popular (malice mizer and mejibray) WHEN you lowkey know they might not be?

Just wait.

This happened to me, I recently found out a moot is a vkei fan so dmed them "i didn't know you liked malice mizer! do you like other bands like jiluka, gulugulu, fukuro?" and they replied with "i don't know them or others" (im simplifying the msgs)

Then weeks later I got them to listen to a band, they later said they've been into vkei for a long time, for years, trying to ward me off. So I said I didn't know, backed off, stopped talking about vkei. We've been moots, but this is the first time they posted malice mizer music in their posts and normally they are alternative music.

So I just dislike people who make themselves look like fans and dont put effort, or just do it like heck of it.

Please help me understand that i'm probably taking this the wrong way or i'm not the only one.
