Why do you think M’s recent recording vocals sound so muddy and mumbling

I saw her live at the Celebration tour and she still sounded great! Even at Coachella, she sounded full and stable. But I don’t understand what is up with her recording vocals. Ever since Madame X, most of her vocals sound like it’s recorded in a bathroom with a cheap dynamic microphone or something. Her pronunciation is hard to understand. I know many are saying she sings with grillz but I doubt it.

I was glad that she sounded good on IFSF and her voice complements that song’s vibe, but then she’s back again to this mumbling and muddy voice in BYL and even the latest release like LS. Like you can hear the big contrast between her voice and Sabrina. Sabrina’s vocals sound fresher and clearer.

It seems to be her artistic choice at this point. For example, her vocals on the Weekend’s song sound amazing. And she sounded bright clear and great in Albums that she had highly processed vocals like AL, Music or even CFOAD1.

I don’t get it how none of her producers point this out. It’s painful to listen to especially on a high quality headphone.
