looking for room to rent

hi!! i am twisha i will be moving to new york in august since i am transferring to john jay for fall semester as an undergrad and i am looking for room to rent or a shared spot! my budget is around $1000 or less 🥲 please let me know if anyone has any leads 🙏🙏

i don't really mind how far it would be from the college since it being under my budget is my topmost priority 🙃 but hoping that i won't have to commute for more than an hours and a half 🙏
