I built a load calculator for owner-operators. No signup required to try it.

I've spent nearly 20 years as an analyst in the trucking industry. I've watched brokers and shippers operate with every informational advantage — rate data, market benchmarks, negotiating leverage — while independent owner-operators are often left doing mental math in a cab, deciding in minutes whether to take a load that might not even cover their costs.

I have family in trucking. Close family friends who've been behind the wheel for decades. This problem hits close to home.

So I built LoadWise — a tool where you input a load offer and it tells you whether it's worth taking. You plug in the rate, the miles, the origin and destination. It calculates your real net profit, your hourly earnings against your target, estimated fuel, tolls, maintenance, and gives you a green/yellow/red verdict. If the offer is borderline, it suggests a counteroffer to get you to your target hourly earnings.

I want to be honest about something: when I first launched it last week, I put it behind a signup wall. You had to create an account before you could even see if the thing was useful. That was a mistake. Nobody hands over their email to a tool they've never touched. I removed the gate, and you can now run a full load evaluation with zero signup, no credit card, nothing. Just go use it and see if it's helpful.

I built this specifically because the broker-driver dynamic in this industry has always bothered me, and I think independent truckers deserve a faster, clearer way to know if a load is worth their time before they commit.

It's free to try. No account needed.
