Paints for brushing tamiya or mr hobby series
Hihi! I’m currently building a 1/700 waterline model of the Akagi and Yamato, and I’m looking for advice on which paints to use for touch-ups and detailing. I’m currently using Tamiya spray cans for most of the surface and base (IJN Sasebo and IJN Kure grey, and others for the larger surfaces). However, I need advice on which paints to use for touch-ups and detailing. I’ve done some research, but it seems like they’re not good for brushing. I don’t have the facilities to airbrush, and I have some experience with brush painting miniatures.
I’m also not the best at mixing colours, so I want to buy paints that are good for brushing and also match the spray cans. That’s why I’m looking at Tamiya and Mr Hobby, which have the specific colours I need. I’m unsure what to pick, though. Also i did look into mr hobby acrysion but they dont seem to have the exact colours
In my country, Tamiya and Mr Hobby paints are quite common and cheap, especially Mr Colour, Tamiya enamels and acrylics, and Vallejo, Citadel, and AK can be found but are more expensive.
Thankyou!
