Trying to recall a series that was published by 1989 and would have been in a US library

Hey!

Basically trying to find what the title says. Don't have much else to go on but this:

- It was horror with maybe some sexual stuff

- There may have been a man who was delusional about carrying a bag full of body parts but later was found to be toys

All I remember from reading it in a US library in 1989. Sorry for not having much else.
