Got my Chinese name from 8th century poetry and now I'm obsessed
I found out my Chinese name is 赵星海, and apparently it's taken from a Du Fu poem.
What surprised me is that the name isn't just random characters — it actually references a specific line of classical poetry.
As someone who's used to Western names, the idea that a name can carry that kind of literary background is pretty fascinating.
Does anyone else here have a Chinese name? What's the story behind it?
